ANDHRA PRADESH STATE CIVIL SERVICES EXAM INCLUDES
APPSC GROUP-I
Group I is one of the competitive exam conducted by APPSC for recruitment to various civil service posts under the Executive cadre in various AP government departments. Various posts filled under Group I will be like

EXAM PATTERN
Exam will include three stage process
1. Preliminary exam
2. Mains exam
3. Interview stage
 The prelims exam will be for 150 marks consisting of 150 objective type Questions without any negative marking.

MENTAL ABILITY
This part will test the candidate ability in analytical and reasoning abilities. This includes, analogies, algebra, synonyms & antonyms,series,inferences etc.

7.Disaster management
This topic is new addition to syllabus. As India is prone to both natural and man made disasters this topic should be given special attention in preparation.

GROUP-II EXAM 
How to Get start for exam 


Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission – APPSC conducts Group 2 exam for various vacancies in A.P State Government Departments. Bachelor Degree is the minimum educational qualification. 


Group II is one of the competitive exam conducted by APPSC for recruitment  of various posts under the Executive and non executive cadre in various AP government depts. Various posts filled under group II will be like
Deputy Tahsildar
Assistant Commercial tax officer
Municipal commissioner-grade III (i.e, smaller municipalities)
Prohibition & Excise SI
Extension officer in Panchayat raj
and other section officer, junior assistant positions.

 




Written Examination: The written examination conducted by APPSC is of objective type mode which includes Paper I, II & III. Paper I consists of General Studies, Paper II consists of Social and Cultural History of Andhra Pradesh & General overview of the Indian Constitution and Paper III consists of Planning in India and Indian Economy. Each Paper carries 150 marks and its time duration is 2: 30 hours. The minimum qualifying marks for candidates is given below…
I. SC/ST/PH Candidates: 135 Marks
II. BC Candidates: 157.5 Marks
III. Others: 180 Marks

As per new rules issued by Government interviews will be conducted only for Executive posts and for non executive posts.
Interview/Document Verification: Only those candidates who qualify in the Written Examination by being ranked high & also based on the rule of reservation will be considered. The minimum qualifying marks for selection are OCs 40%, BCs 35%, SCs, STs & PHs 30% or as per rules.  The minimum qualifying marks are relax able in the case of SC/ST/BC & PHs on the discretion of the Commission. The candidates will be selected and allotted to Service/ Department as per their rank in the merit list and as per Zonal preference along with he/she must be medically fit for allotment of candidates against the vacancies available. Candidates have to produce Original documents and other particulars for verification as and when required and called for.

3. History of India and Indian National Movement. India and World Geography.
4. General Mental Ability.
5. Questions on General Science will cover General appreciation and understanding of science
including matters of every day observation and experience, as may be expected of a well
educated person who has not made a special study of any particular scientific discipline. In
current events, knowledge of significant national and international events will be tested. In
History of India, emphasis will be on broad general understanding of the subject in its social,
economic and political aspects. Questions on Indian National Movement will relate to the
nature and character of the nineteenth century resurgence, growth of Nationalism and
attainment of independence. In geography emphasis will be on geography of India. Questions
on geography of India will relate to physical, social and economic geography of the country,
Including the main features of the Indian agricultural and natural resources. On general mental
ability, the candidates will be tested on reasoning and analytical abilities.
