Finally the state Government agreed to fill the vacancies.
The State government on Monday issued a GO authorising various recruiting agencies such as A.P. Public Service Commission, State Level Police Recruitment Board and Departmental Selection Committees (DSCs) for filling 33,738 vacancies in different departments through direct recruitment. The GO (No. 132) was issued after recruitment was approved by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Accordingly, 11,250 posts would be filled by APPSC, 11,623 by PRB and 10,865 by DSCs.
Following are the details of vacancies in various departments:
1) Senior Accountants in the Department of Finance: 273 posts
2) Degree Lecturers: 617 posts
3) Junior Lecturers: 4523
4) Physical Directors: 325
5) Civil Assistant Surgeons (CAS): 575
6) Junior Assistants in Irrigation Department: 256
7) Excise Sub Inspectors (SI): 314
8) Warders in Social Welfare Department: 250 vacancies
9) APSP Constables: 3848 posts
10) AR Constables: 1254
11) Civil Constables: 4661
12) Communication Constables: 748
13) Agriculture Extension Officers (AEO): 393 posts
14) MPHA, ANM Posts: 2234 vacancies
15) Civil Assistant Surgeons (DSC): 1140 posts
16) Lab Technicians Grade -2: 935 posts
17) Pharmacists Grade - 2: 894
18) Staff Nurse: 580 posts
There are various other Gazetted and Non-Gazetted posts to be filled by
APPSC. The vacancies are identified in 34 Government departments. There
are about 1.20 lakhs posts in total. Concerned recruitment organisations
will issue notifications in due course of time.
